Matr, a project by the Encastrable artist collective, is a limited multiple edition published by Ososph\u00e8re and Carpaccio Cathedrale. It consists of 4 series of 25 numbered boxes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Matr is a set of booda boxes (musical boxes) in the shape of effect pedals. Each boxes contains 25 samples from the Ososph\u00e8re festival\u2019s different editions, for a total of 100 samples remixed and edited to 80 BPM. They can be played in loops as musical phrases or by mixing 2, 3 or 4 boxes to create new scores.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to some Indian grammar experts, the word \u201cMatr\u201d is the root for Mantra, which defines the meaning of \u201chidden word\u201d. These spiritual formulas used from India to the Far East are transposed here to act as the black boxes of the festival, making resonate the hidden words of years of electronic hum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Soit 100 samples remix\u00e9s et \u00e9dit\u00e9s \u00e0 80 BPM. Elles peuvent \u00eatre \u00e9cout\u00e9s en boucle sous la forme de phrase musicale ou \u00eatre m\u00e9lang\u00e9s via 2, 3 ou 4 boite de fa\u00e7on \u00e0 cr\u00e9er de nouvelles partitions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le mot \u201cMatr\u201d serait selon certains sp\u00e9cialistes grammairiens indiens la racine de Mantra qui d\u00e9finirait le sens de \u00ab parole cach\u00e9e \u00bb. Ces formules spirituelles utilis\u00e9es depuis l\u2019Inde jusqu\u2019en orient sont transpos\u00e9es ici comme les boites noires du festival Ososph\u00e8re, faisant raisonner les paroles cach\u00e9es de ces ann\u00e9esde bourdonnement \u00e9lectronique. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
